What are my options for taking the class if I don't want to provide my Github credentials (password) to a remotely hosted web-ide?

  • I never found one. Consider adding another git account for CS50 only?

CS50x's grading system is github-based so a github account is required. You are welcome to create a separate account to use for this course.

Maybe get a personal access token with the public_repo scope (if the repo is public) or the repo scope (if the repo is private) that you label as being used for this purpose?

  • Would you mind elaborating on this solution? Now that github passwords are being deprecated, i created one (adding all the scopes) but im still prompted for github password from the cs50 ide when I run submit50..
