I try to submit my final project following steps from the project submission website Specifically, I did the following:

  1. update50
  2. cd ~/workspace/project/
  3. submit50 cs50/2017/x/project

After that, I got the following response:

No files in this directory are expected for submission.
Submission cancelled.

Not sure what is happening, any help will be great! Thanks.

I added a readme.txt which is not empty and try it again, it still failed.

Sounds like your /project folder is empty? Be sure that you have at least one file in there. (running submit50 is what triggers the grading). If your project files aren't in the IDE, perhaps you can just add a text file with your project details.

We're working to make the submission instructions clearer, as this is a new change.
