Is there a way to increase the font size in the CS50 appliance? I changed from a desktop to a laptop. The font seems very small on the laptop.

Reset to default

Font settings are controlled via the Fonts page of the Desktop Appearance dialog (accessed via the System->Preferences->Appearance menu option).
