At the end of the set up of Dropbox within the appliance and creation of an account as indicated in Step 4 , -a there was no check box next to " Open my Dropbox folder " button and no Dropbox icon was created in lower right handside of the appliance

-b I can't access Advanced / Select Sync to make sure Dropbox isn't synching my personal files

Regarding -a , Dropbox folder has been created Regarding -b , I can see some settings in the File manager by right clicking the dropbox icon under home/jharvard but no advanced settings

Would someone know how to restore the Dropbox icon on the applicance and set the access settings ?

Thanks

  • I'm having problem with it too, after the initial setup, i can't access any of the dropbox's GUI. I've opened a discussion on it on Reddit: No Dropbox GUI (unfortunately, no definite solutions so far)

Well I'm not sure about the icon, but I found a command line way if you don't mind some Terminal action.

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Use dropbox exclude to see the list of current folders that are excluded from sync.
  3. Use dropbox exclude add [folderName0] [folderName1] ... to add a folder to that list. (Do that from Dropbox folder)

You can do dropbox exclude remove [folderName0] [folderName1] ... to start syncing those folders again. You can also just use dropbox to see the complete list of Dropbox commands.
