Here is my input and the output. Any thoughts? I have downloaded other copies so don't think it is due to a corrupted file.

Archive: pset3.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of pset3.zip or
pset3.zip.zip, and cannot find pset3.zip.ZIP, period.

If I had a file, for example somefile.zip, the error message says:

unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of somefile.zip or
somefile.zip.zip, and cannot find somefile.zip.ZIP, period.

At the end there are two extensions so I thought maybe that was the problem. I solved this problem by removing the .zip extension from the end of file and then the file extracted.

I would try downloading the file outside of the cs50 appliance and using a different program to decompress the archive. I like 7-zip.

If that works, you can put the decompressed files into one of your Dropbox sync folders so that you can access them from inside the appliance.

In a related post on ask ubuntu, another user suggests trying jar -xvf instead of unzip.
