I downloaded gedit and it was not similar to the gedit used in CS50. I want to know which version of gedit is used and where can we get that?

  • Gedit 3.8.3 as on 14th October 2014. May be you should see this.

  • Gedit is pre-installed in the appliance. You do not need to download it.
