I have installed cs50 appliance,but there is no sound. The message log is showing the following message : "A device id has been used that is out of range for your system. Sound will be disconnected"

can anybody tell me how to rectify this error.

Reset to default

You can check your sound interface on the System panel of your VM (either VMware or VirtualBox)

EDIT: Also the preference paned of VMfusion can help.
