I just installed the CS50 Appliance in Bare Metal so that the O.S. could use all of my Laptop's RAM. But I can't connect to the internet, can you guys help me? I don't know anything in Linux.

hey, I don't know solution to your problem but I wasn't able to install it in Bare Metal. Can you please help? I burnt the ISO to a USB drive and then when booted the drive, after selecting install in bare metal, there was just prompt and no any progress.– Abhishek MittalCommented Feb 8, 2015 at 8:13

@AbhishekMittal I used Rufus to create the bootable USB Here is the link: rufus.akeo.ie– Renz A. PagulayanCommented Feb 10, 2015 at 3:38

Hey, thanks for the reply, I also used Rufus only. Maybe, it has to do with legacy or UEFI mode. Which one you chose? And can you think of any other problem? Also was installation GUI like normal ubuntu installation or was it command line?– Abhishek MittalCommented Feb 11, 2015 at 5:20

@AbhishekMittal I think, I used legacy and the installation like a Normal Ubuntu Installation.– Renz A. PagulayanCommented Feb 12, 2015 at 15:44

Wireless can sometimes be a bit tricky to get working on Linux. In a terminal do:
ip a
The output should be a list of ethernet/wireless connections. Wireless cards are generally listed as 'wlanx' where x is some number. If there is no 'wlanx' then the appliance isn't loading the module for your wireless card. Take a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessTroubleShootingGuide About halfway down the page you will find instructions for finding/installing the driver for your card.
