When I try to import the appliance, i get the error shown in the screenshot, how to get around it?

  • How are you importing the appliance? Did you try double clicking the appliance from where you extracted it with virtualbox open?

  • Your OVA file might be corrupt. Consider downloading from torrent.

  • The file was not corrupt, actually the problem was that I was using .ova appliance file which was supposed to be used with vmware workstation, there are different .ova files for virtualbox and vmware.
